At Synergy HomeCare, we know how hard it is to entrust someone else with the health, safety and happiness of your senior parent, Alzheimer's or dementia patient or disabled family member of any age. Many of us have been in your situation before and we remember how we wondered, "Can I trust this person? Will she be nice to my mother? Will she care for her, not just take care of her?"
Our Responsibility
Our responsibility and commitment to you and your family is to provide the highest quality of care. The careTEAM members at your local office will take the time to understand the specific needs of your senior parent or disabled family member and customize a care plan, not for you, but with you.
It is our responsibility to provide your family with an experienced, responsible caregiver. Each of our caregivers is subject to an extensive screening process:
- National criminal background check
- Sex Offender
- Traffic Convictions
- Social Security Verification
- Skip Traces
- Tuberculosis (TB) tested
- Professional Reference Checks
- CPR/First Aid Certified
We will never "randomly" assign a caregiver to your family. We understand that a true companion must share similar interests with your senior parent and understand their emotional and physical needs. We make our caregiver recommendations based on the customized care plan we develop with you, as well as the individual skills and strengths of our caregivers. Of course, the final decision is always yours; if for whatever reason you or your family is not satisfied with your caregiver, we will assign another until you are completely satisfied.
Our Caregivers
A Synergy HomeCare caregiver is a person whose passion is to help others. He or she is someone who truly enjoys their role as a caregiver and companion for an elderly or disabled person who needs their help.
However, simply caring is not enough. All of our caregivers are also thoroughly trained and prepared for each assignment. Each caregiver is our employee and we're responsible for all caregiver wages and employer taxes. Any caregiver that would ever step into your family's home is:
- Our W-2 employee
- Bonded and insured
- Experienced and reliable
- Skills tested
- Offered ongoing training
- Managed with performance assessments
You and Your Family
Our philosophy is that you and your family are just as much a part of our careTEAM as the staff in your local office and the caregiver in you parent's home. Whether you live next door, across town or across the country from your loved one, you can be as involved in their care as you'd like to be.
Available to you and your family anytime via a private, secure Web site is information to verify correct services are being provided:
- Activities/Plan of Care
- Active Plans/Caregiver Schedule
- Special Notes*
You and your family are encouraged to stay involved in the planning of your senior parent's care; we will never make a decision for you. We will always notify you of any change in their condition and at any time, you can reach your local office to discuss the plan of care.
