When we were unexpectedly thrust into managing our mother's care after a major change in health, working with SYNERGY was one of a few havens in an otherwise overwhelming and stressful period. Paul had a well structured process to walk us through evaluating our mom's needs. We then felt confident that we'd considered the full range of required support and that Synergy had the right criteria by which to match us to caregivers. Paul's advice on what types of schedules are harder to staff and where we'd find the most flexibility helped us strike a practical balance between our mom's needs and our budget. We really appreciated the options for e-billing and automatic debits to give us one less bill to manage too. There are situations we can control and others we cannot. I had one of these situations and Synergy was there to help. My Dad, whom I love and care about, was struggling from disease and age. A competent person was found with Synergy. They helped me through the challenging times by providing health needs and communications. I found out that sometimes I have to rely on others to act in my best interest. I take comfort in knowing that Dad has caring, supportive and positive people around him.

Synergy HomeCare responded promptly and empathetically to our initial, alomost panicked, outcry for help for my Mom. Services were provided by kind and respectful caregiver whose company Mom enjoyed. Scheduling was flexible on our part; we only scheduled and paid for service that we needed. Only an hour minimum was required for each time we utilized services; several other agencies we contacted required a four-hour minimum per day. We could schedule ahead or at the last minute for days we did not require assistance. When unexpected events occurred in the lives of the caregivers, Synergy always called as soon as they became aware and handled finding a substitute promptly. We have appreciated the kind and efficient manner Synergy has handled Mom's transportation and companionship needs and we are we are happy to recommend their services without reservation.

I needed someone to help take care of my father while recuperating from physical problems and Synergy was recommended by our Home Health Agency. Synergy came over and we set up a schedule to help overnights for a while and now it is for a few hours in the morning and evening to make sure he is getting his meds and meals. They all have been so helpful and great. Always on time, friendly and asking what they can do to help. They even took Dad to the hospital for me when I was sick and couldn’t do it.

Mary and Jean shared some time with me when I was dismissed from Nursing and Rehab. I could not make any comparison between them, because they were equally efficient and best of all sociable and fun loving ladies. Social diversion was what I needed most of all. It is very hard to accept the fact that you are losing a parent—especially if your mother is still with you, in flesh, not aware or responsible for her own actions.  The tables are somehow reversed—you are now the parent and she is the child.  That feeling is almost too much to bear.  The responsibility is awesome. Somehow God helped me find you and your company.  You found caregivers:  Matilda (my Angel from Texas), Casey (kind and ever so patient with Mama), and finally Tamisha (great with filling in when needed).  But the absolutely unbelievable one was you, Chad.  When Matilda got sick, you stepped in to help my Mama. You did not send just anyone into my Mama’s home.  YOU went every single day—making sure Mama had her medications and cooking a meal for her.  YOU visited with Mama and got to know her and treated her with dignity and respect.  It takes a special person to “fill in” when he’s the owner of a business.  But you did—and you “done good”!  You waited until you found the RIGHT person to care for Mama. I will always remember and appreciate what you have done.  Once again thank you.

I had an accident and couldn't drive. I needed to get to the orthopedist and had no one who could help me. I called Synergy HomeCare at 4pm asking for someone who could be at my house the next morning at 9am to help me to the doctors. By 7pm that night, I had confirmation that a caregiver would be at my home at 9am the next morning to help. The caregiver was right on time. She helped me to the doctor, she took me grocery shopping after the doctor and then brought me home. She helped me get situated for a week of limited movement and no driving. Then she left. It was great to be able to get such wonderful help on short notice. You never expect something like this to happen to you, but it is nice to know there is someone who can help when you need it. I wanted to let you know that your services have been invaluable to us during the last several months. With the downturn in the economy, my brother and I have both had to find work and move our families to other States. We are fortunate that we are able to do so. And we are also grateful that Mom will now move to be near me. You and you staff did a great job of working with Mom during the transition. She was very reluctant at first to let anyone help her. But she soon warmed up to Jeannine and accepted her assistance with many things. It's been a great comfort to us all to know that Jeannine is there to help check on things, remind her about medicine, drive her places, and help with the cleaning and everyday activities. One unexpected gift resulting from your services has been the progress that Mom and Jeannine have made in preparing for the move. On my last visit I found that they had sorted through many of her closets and cupboards and gotten rid of things that Mom no longer wants or needs. Mom's energy level for this type of activity is very low (so is mine!). But they made great progress together. And I can't tell you what a help that is to Mom and our family. It has provided Mom with the satisfaction that she could make these decisions herself, in a non-pressurred state. And it has helped us concentrate on the other aspects of her move. My father, who is in his late 70's was diagnosed with dementia about a year ago. He has been on a steady decline and has recently been re-evaluated and told he is now in the moderate stages. The physicians recommended we either have in-home care or put him in an assisted living home. His licence was taken away which was devastating for him since now he is home-bound. We talked about assisted living options with him. This was one of the most difficult conversations we've ever had to have with my dad. He became very upset, depressed and flat out refused to leave his home. He refused to even visit homes with us. We could understand completely where he was coming from since we did not want that for him either. The more we discussed it and tried to make him understand things, the more confused and upset he became. We dropped the subject and took the social worker's advise to call an in-home care giver. She recommended Synergy. I called Mark and told him a bit about my father & what duties we would expect from them. After a brief conversation to determine if this was something they could do , Marc scheduled an evaluation. We decided to start care right away. At first, my dad was confused as to who these people were that kept coming to his house. After time, he started getting used to them, but did not remember them coming over. When I asked him about the visits, he would tell me no one was there. I would call Marc who assured me that someone actually did visit.Marc gave me the Synergy website and had the caregivers write twice daily updates for us to read. I cannot explain how much of a help & relief this was to me. I live two hours away from my dad & I had no idea if someone was there or how things were going. This is literally my life line to my dad. Each day, the care givers write updates on my dad's mood, the things they did together, what they bought at the grocery store, what he ate, medication updates, if any visitors were there, updates on his hygine and any cleaning they did. I cannot ask my dad any of this because he does not remember much of anything. Now, my dad somehow knows what time his visitors come (I think he writes it on his calendar) and waits at the door for them. There is a particular care giver, Amy-Sue, that he feels very comfortable with. It's important to us that the same few people visit & Marc has arranged that. Synergy has allowed my dad to stay in his home which is invaluable to us and to him. They've provided affordable, quality care giving for my dad. I really cannot think of anything more important in his life than being able to stay at home right now.

Ms. Peterson and Ms. Blakey were both punctual, neatly dressed, and personable. I liked them. All calls and requests to the home office were handled promptly and friendly.

When my husband suffered a mild stroke last fall our normal routine came to a screeching halt! I have been working with Synergy here in Tucson, Arizona for the past 1 1/2 years. They are my preferred agency for caregivers and I have sent them numerous referrals. Synergy HomeCare did an excellent job caring for my mother, during the last six months of her life. Her wish was to reamain at home and Synergy allowed this to happen. My 93 year old father would never agree to leave his 'farm' and move closer to me, his only living relative. Dear Nicole and staff, This letter is long overdue. I do apologize for this. I would like to take the opportunity to express to you and your staff the gratitude that myself and my family has for each and every one of you during your care of my mother, Sally K. My mother took a horrible fall in September, 2009. Mom suffered a fractured wrist, subdural hematoma, dementia issues, was even given a feeding tube and several other problems. After her hospital stay of 10 days, she was moved to a rehab facility for physical and occupational therapy. Several days prior to Thanksgiving 2009, mom was released from rehab and moved back to her assisted living facility. One day into mom's return, it became very apparent to my brother Dave, myself and the assisted living nurse that Mom was NOT safe to live alone, as the rehab facility lead us to believe. Here it was a few days before a holiday and we felt very lost, frightened and alone. The assisted living facility nurse gave us the number to Synergy and EVERYTHING began to turn around! You, Nicole, gave us hope and relief in our time of need. You comforted us and assured us that help is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Your staff that cared for mom was the most outstanding and loving group of women. They cared for mother with a gentle-hand, providing for all mother's needs and wonderful conversation. Mother came to truly enjoy their company and the help they gave to her. I cannot express how grateful my brother and I are to each and every one of your staff. Each time we came for a visit with mother, it was obvious to us how attentive your staff was to mom. The ladies were encouraging to mom--even taking her to activities. Mom felt that she had made new friends with your staff and looked forward to seeing them all. In January of 2010, mom took yet another fall. This fall proved to be serious again. She compressed her upper spine. It became clear to us that mom's osteoporosis was more severe than we realized. After another stay in rehab, the doctors advised us that Mom needed a full 24-hour care facility. Mom was moved in February to an adult foster care facility. Mother peacefully passed away on November 10, 2010 with my brother and myself at her side. Nicole, you provided us our first encounter of true caregiving. You set the standard of what kind of care we expected for our mother. And, I will never forget your kind words during our initial conversation as I was trying to talk and all I could do was cry. God blessed my family the day you and your staff came into our lives. Thank you for all you have done for my mother and for us, from the bottom of my heart!

I just want to share with you my experiences over the past 2 years in working with Ruth Busalacchi of our local Synergy office. I am the administrator of an independent and assisted living community with over 165 residents. We have had numerous examples over the past year where our residents have experienced a sudden change in condition in which they needed more support. Sometimes the support was available through our assisted living services and at other times, it was needed instead of or in addition to our services. In every instance, every, Ruth and her team was able to implement services as quickly as was needed, up to and including same day. In every situation, I had no doubt that Ruth would support us in delivering a consistent message to our families on the options available to them. Her sense of partnership is evident; her sense of responsiblity for the well being of the resident is always clear; and the integrity with which she works consistent. In addition, she is always open to feedback on the staff provided, which has resulted in a great working relationship with our facility and positive feedback from our families. My Dad was in a wheelchair and unable to care for himself. We contacted Synergy of Monmouth and spoke to Joel and John. They were so patient with my Dad and his needs. They quickly and effiecentl provided a loving aide, Jackie who gave my father very loving care prior to his passing. My Dad came to rely and trust Jackie. She requested a moniter in her room to be able to hear him at night. She was as concerned about his well being as if she was family. She was patient, loving and very smart as she made sure he got appropriate medical care as needed. John and Joel were very patient and understanding of my Dad and he really grew to apprecitate their visits. I highly recommend this agency.

I am writing this letter to the entire staff of Synergy HomeCare to express my profound thanks to them for helping me set up home health care for my mother. My Mom just recently turned 85 years old and over the course of the last few years has noticeably needed to have some extra care and help with various household and personal duties. While her health is relatively good there are many things that she no longer can accomplish by herself. This is where Synergy has come in to assist with several of these issues. I first contacted Synergy from a recommendation of a friend that works in the home healthcare field. I then spoke with Marti and she in turn had Amy contact me and we worked out the details about meeting my Mom and assessing her and what type of care that was needed for her. Synergy’s staff also then dealt with the details of contacting my mother’s Long Term insurance provider and tying up any loose ends so that the actual care could begin. This was a huge help to me as this kind of procedure can be a very trying experience. After everything was arranged, Synergy brought Kelly, a caregiver to meet my mom. She has since been a very welcome presence in my mother’s life helping with various household activities and also a friendly presence in my mom’s house and someone with whom to talk with and occupy some of the many hours in which my mom is alone. I believe that this type of care and by people, such as Kim, Marti, Amy and the employees at Synergy are some of the reasons that my mom can stay in her home and not have to worry about having to leave it for an assisted or nursing home facility. In closing, I’d like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to all the people at Synergy HomeCare for their valued help to me and my mother, and can honestly say that they have all been a welcome addition to our family for this situation and its future events.

Dee is a very special person, and she made my mom's last few months so much better. She is a great caregiver who I would gladly write a personal recommendation for her at anytime. …my father was very sick and in need of home care which enabled him to stay out of a nursing home. Synergy HomeCare provided the services that would be hard to be matched by anyone. The services of home care extended my father’s life and also my mother’s as she was wearing out trying to take care of dad by herself. Toward the end of my father’s life, Hospice also stepped in with their services. Hospice and Synergy HomeCare worked hand in hand in making my father’s last days as comfortable as possible. I do not know what I would have done without the services of both. Since my father’s death and even before, the two agencies have developed a very good working relationship between the two agencies. I heard about Synergy HomeCare from my Care Alternatives Hospice Social Worker. She made a call to them on my behalf in the afternoon and Travis was in my home in less than an hour. He listened to my needs developed a plan with Hospice to keep my Mom home till the very end which is what we both wanted for her. We had services start later that evening. He put us at ease when he was there in the evening to personally introduce the caregiver to my Mom and me. Our caregivers Solane and Lora were absolutely wonderful. They were very reassuring to me and totally attentive in caring for my Mom. They were efficient, friendly, loving and concerned for my Mom's well being. I felt they gave her the best care possible in her final hours. Solane and Lora both calmed me down and reassured me and took excellent care of my Mom so that I could be present with her in her final days. My caregivers also cared about me and what I was going through during this time. They helped me through it by talking with me, and by being so reassuring and supportive. They knew exactly what my mom and I needed during her final days, I will always be grateful to them

I would like to say that Synergy is the best! The reason I can say that is because I know. I have been in Tucson all my life and worked with many companies but never worked with such nice professional people as Lori Whitesell RN and Vida Johnson RN. They are what quality is about. I work for a medicare certified homehealth company so when I call for private duty coverage on Friday afternoon at 3:30pm, Synergy has been there in no time flat to assist in a seamless discharge to get the patient home safely, and has always given high quality care to all of their clients. I never question their ability to provide the best possible fit for the client to caregiver. I personally utilized their services in the past, when I injured my knee, to have them tidy my house. They sent a very nice young lady that did a great job. She was in nursing school. I would tell anyone looking for a non-medical company to call them for professional quality care in a loving way.

My families experience with Synergy HomeCare was exceptional from start to finish. Travis went out of his way to help me sort through issues related to care at Riddle Village. This went well beyond simply providing home care services. He introduced me to critical staff, he attended care conferences and when he made a commitment, he followed through. He committed time and effort to establishing the relationship and invested time to help me and my Aunt get through to a safe discharge from skilled nursing and back to her apartment. Not only were we satisfied, we very much appreciated the help he provided. As I researched various providers, I was impressed by Synergy's employment advertisements that start with seeking kind individuals that want to help other people. Their preference on hiring caring people really shows. Also, I was impressed by the paperwork used to begin care. It seeks standard information but also goes beyond that to explain patient rights and provides contact information in the event there is a problem with care. The care provided by Synergy staff was also fantastic. We needed overnight and daytime care for a limited period of time to safely transition my aunt from skilled nursing to her apartment. Within a couple of hours of the first contact with Synergy, both administrators were at the hospital to meet with me and my family. That evening Negar Jahanbin was at our home with an aide! She was back the next morning to introduce the morning aide to us, and both Travis and Negar were back that evening to ensure everything was going according to plan with my husband. There was daily contact with the administrators throughout the start of service and frequently on an ongoing basis. They are the most caring and conscientious individuals and they obviously love what they do. If homecare is necessary, these two can make it a pleasant experience because you know they really care for your family as much as you do!

My parents are both in their 90's and for the last six months they have been receiving care 7 days a week from 2 caregivers provided through Synergy Home Care. My siblings and I have always had detailed updates and quick response to any of our questions or needs from the company president, Philippe Faurie. I am a single professional woman living in the Atlanta area, while my relatives and close friends live in other States. I needed to plan for a series of outpatient tests and surgeries requiring anesthesia this year. I am writing to let you know how grateful I am for the two home care aides that Synergy HomeCare has provided to care for my wife Susan. Susan suffered a severe cerebral hemorrhage in June of 2002, and was hospitalized for over four months before returning home in late October. As I had explained to your staff during our initial interviews, Susan needs much more than “companion” care because she is completely paralyzed on her left side. Furthermore, although Susan is 100% wheelchair bound, she has two college degrees and is mentally almost back to her former self, so she needs to be treated with the utmost of dignity and respect. You found us a primary aide, Susan R. who was perfect for the job. Susan R. had worked for two years with a stroke victim whose deficits were almost identical to my wife’s deficits. From the first day, I found that instead of me training Susan R; Susan R. has been training me. Susan R’s skills and personality are a perfect match for what my wife Susan needs as a caregiver. Your desire to precisely serve my needs, combined with your interviewing skills that made it possible, has made me a TOTALLY satisfied customer! My wife Susan has three therapists who come to our home daily. They have all told me that Susan R. is “one in a million". Please show this letter to other potential customers. Synergy HomeCare is an amazing service! I have been using care givers from Synergy to care for my 8 year old special needs son and my 6 year old daughter for a year. My children LOVE the care givers that Synergy has sent to us. I have so much trust and respect for the care givers that when I travel for work, I can 100% focus on accomplishing what's in front of me versus having anxiety about what's going on at home. They are professional, communication is open, they always follow direction thoroughly, they are PROMPT and flexible. My kids love them because they are attentive, friendly, consistent, caring and can play all the games on the Wii. I've had a care giver for my kids all of their life and know how hard it can be to find someone that has all of the right qualities. And your desire personally to introduce every new caregiver to my dad when he was in the most fragile state was really touching. In addition, you responded graciously - in fact, heroically! -- to our constantly changing needs. One morning we would think my dad would be leaving the hospital, and then three hours later the plan would change - and you would adjust to the new arrangement so calmly and positively. One other thing especially appreciate is your willingness to send the very best caregivers for my dad, although you knew he was, for fiscal reasons, unlikely to be a long-term client. You've continued to meet his sporadic needs for home health care workers by sending really the nicest, most committed people. Interestingly, several of the caregivers have told me, although they've worked for a variety of health care companies over the years, they've been happiest working with Synergy. The reasons several have given are the you and Laura are both committed and personally involved - and that all the other Synergy caregivers they occasionally meet and interact with are hardworking, kind and committed. I was with an agency with which I was not totally satisfied. I interviewed four other agencies recommended by the Veteran's Administration because my elderly husband is a disabled veteran. I chose to sign up with Synergy HomeCare. They have been dependable, not missing a day with us, which had happened with the first agency we were with. When I need an emergency fill-in they have been able to provide an aide. If an aide is new, they will provide an aide who has been here to train her or him. I have changed from shifts to 24-hour live-ins with a days notice. I rely on them to take care of my husband's needs. Synergy employees have been helpful and reliable. I recommend them.

Dear Kristin, I can't thank you enough for selecting Nafisah to help me out after my surgery. As it turned out, even on the weekend my son was involved with Marching Band for 10 hours a day, so I truly would have been alone without her. It gave me such peace of mind knowing that she was there during those first few showers, trips up and down stairs, etc. In addition to tending to my personal needs, Nafisah was always on the lookout for anything she could do to help with housework, so that I wouldn't be tempted to do it myself. Dear Brett, We employed Bernadette full time as a caregiver for a few brief weeks in August. During this time, Bernadette's home making care was excellent and performed in such a way as to almost go unnoticed. She anticipated our requirments before we were aware of the need. Her personal/attendant care was invaluable as we struggled to keep medication schedules on track during hospice shift changes, all while family and friends were arriving and departing at a frantic pace. Her care and worry for my wife's comfort were self-evident. Her kind, supporting and encouraging words were shared appropriately and very much appreciated. Bernadette was thoughtful, friendly, and welcoming, yet remained professional at all times. She helped our family through this most difficult time, and for that we are most grateful.

Synergy came on board with less than 24 hours after requesting Caregivers. For the next 3 months staff were always accomodating when I called requesting changes in staffing needs--including a holiday request for all day & night care due to an unexplained illness. All of the Caregivers were kind, thoughtful, & attentive to my father's needs & wishes. With Synergy Caregivers on the job, I was confident that I could continue with my daily routine & responsibilities and maintain my sanity.

Gina C. has been the caregiver for my mom for the past four months. Her cheerful and perky personality is just what my mother needed. Gina is caring and loving and it shows in the way she attends to my Mom. I have the utmost confidence that my mother is well cared for when Gina is with her. Fipe was such a lifesaver to both my father, the man she provided care for, and my mother, who needed help caring for my father. Fipe is a strong, caring, and capable caregiver. She was always punctual and presentable as well. While we needed Fipe's assistance mainly with bathing and feeding my father she was always quick to help my mother with other tasks such as changing the sheets and helping to prepare my father's meals. Also, since my mother is a non-native English speaker Fipe often helped go over things repairmen or nurses said so that my mom was sure she understood. She is friendly without being obtrusive and my parents grew to think of her as a friend and not just someone who only came in to help with certain tasks. I would definitely recommend Synergy to anyone who needs home care help. My father had many health problems that lead to his dementia and kidney failure and he was also having trouble walking and swallowing. My mother was so reluctant to have a 'stranger' in the house even though she was well past the point of exhaustion trying to care for my father 24/7. Saili was very flexible in setting up our initial consultation as we could only meet on the weekends. She wasn't just professional but kind and warm and I felt like she really listened to my mom and what she needed. She answered all of our questions and never tried to push her service on use. But the more we talked to more we realized that it's ok to ask for help and that no one can do this alone. That we weren't a 'bad' wife and 'bad' kids because we couldn't provide all the care and physical strength that was needed for my dad. We just knew we could trust Saili and her service. She was also so wonderful in helping us get assistance from the VA. Even when we weren't sure we qualified she encouraged us to follow up and gave us contacts at VA. And she was right - we did qualify and we were so grateful that she encouraged us to pursue it. Fipe was the first and only caregiver we worked with. My parents liked her right off and my mom felt so relieved at her decision and all the help that Fipe was capable of made such an amazing difference in the quality of my parents' lives. After we started service Saili would frequently check in on my mom to see how things were going. She was always quick to answer my calls and emails whenever I had questions or needed to reschedule. Initially, when we were trying to figure out who to go to for service - adult daycare, nursing homes, home help etc.-- I was absolutely amazed at how few people ever answered my initial inquiries or even when I did speak to someone they never followed up. I was thinking 'this is no way to run a business" and that realized if this is how they were treating me how would they treat my parents? Saili and Fipe really provided my father with the care he needed and saved my mother's life. I only wish we would have known about Synergy sooner.

I wanted to write a quick note to say, thank you for setting up care for my parents so quickly. The two ladies that you selected for my parents are WONDERFUL!! Dear Negar and Travis, I feel extremely grateful for the wonderful care that Priscilla, Tanya, and Kristen give to my mother, Nancy. Their professional, caring and respectful attitude gives me piece of mind knowing they are there taking good care of her when we can't be with her. Priscilla came on before mom's health started to deteriorate - so I thing she got to know "the somewhat real" Nancy. Mom took an immediate liking to her. They could converse and even played Yahtzee. Although I do not see much of Priscilla (she works mornings when I am at work), we do talk on the phone. I appreciate her suggestions, the way she tries to stimulate mom's mind, and of course, according to mom - she makes the best frizz beef on toast ever! My brothers and I see Tanya on a regular basis since one of us is usually there for supper. We are quite impressed with her - and when mom sees her coming in, she always has a smile for Tanya. You can tell Tanya has experience with geriatrics. She has a way about her that mom responds to. She just always knows what to do - especially the personal aspect of mom's care. I don't want to get to technical here but let's just say that Tanya exhibits good common sense. I think part of her success with mom is how patient she is with her. I feel she truly understands mom's condition and acts accordingly. She always seems to know what to do. We also see Kristen on a regular basis and are extremely glad she is back taking care of mom. She too has a way about her that mom responds to - maybe because she likes baseball and she and mom watch the Phillies games!!! She is knowledgeable in regards to mom's care and understands her needs and how to get the job done. She is patient and very respectful with her. I feel she treat mom the way she would treat her own mother. Priscilla, Tanya, and Kristen have been very helpful in suggesting and explaining ways to better help in her care - most recently with the sit to stand lift! I honestly didn't know you could get such a device in the home. I must mention that my mom's apartment is always clean and her wash is always done in a timely fashion. My mom is lucky to have Priscilla, Tanya, and Kristen caring for her. Synergy HomeCare is outstanding and we are appreciative of all the help they have been to our family.

My husband Don has used Synergy for several months to help him strengthen his legs and arms. For a while, he needed help in showering and dressing. Synergy was able to provide whatever service we needed. The caregivers were extremely helpful, caring and attentive. I would highly recommend Synergy as a caregiver. Mr. Nelson was always there to answer any question or concern that arose.

Once it was obvious that my mother was needing home care services, I called Synergy. Chad came out for an onsite evaluation with myself and our family the following day. We had a wonderful visit. He made an assessment of what my mother needed and we discussed what was in Mother's budget and a caregiver started the following day. From day one, my needs, as well as Mother's needs, were met. The caregiver was always on time. The care and service exceeded my expectation as to what I thought I was going to get. When it was necessary for a substitute caregiver, which was rare, I would be given an advance notice from Synergy to make arrangements for the temporary transition with regards to level of service and gaining access into Mother's home. Over time, Mother's needs would require assisted living with constant assistance through Synergy and communication and documentation it became evident that the time had come for an assisted living environment. I am so grateful for all the help Synergy provided Mother during this time. This allowed Mother to enjoy the companionship through Synergy and gave me peace of mind that Mother was well taken care of. Thank you, Synergy. You guys are a blessing.

Caring for an elderly loved one is usually somewhat of a challenge. But when you live 700 miles from the person you're taking care of, it sometimes seems an impossibility. Such was the situation when my aunt who lives in Cincinnati fell and was rushed to the hospital. I live in Mississippi and had to arrange 24 hour care for her when she returned from the hospital. I called Synergy HomeCare and within 6 hours there was someone from Synergy standing beside. They continued to be with her 24 hours a day until I could arrange things at home and then make the three day drive to Cincinnati. It gave me peace knowing that my aunt would not be alone and someone was there to help her whatever her needs. I was even happier after I arrived and met the wonderful women who were taking care of my aunt. I doubt I could have found more caring people even if I had spent months searching on my own. These caretakers were available in 6 hours thanks to John Wayne and the other staff at Synergy.

Dear Synergy Home Health Care; I tried to registar a complaint through one of your communications emails. Then after I had registered my complaint the Synergy Home Health Care warning came that my complaint was dumped by a "System Error" problem. That letter of my complaint had taken me some time to write having put into that complaint the full intention of my thought. I am a handicapped person that had been so since I was 20 years old in the year of 1977 when for the first time I was sent to be court ordered committed to a psychiatric institution. I have been sent by the court to (three) psychiatric institutions within (three) years of that time and (two) psychiatric residential programs since then. It was (26) years ago that I have moved into my apartment of 71 Lake Street at the Heywood Apartment Complex in May 31st, 1986 on a Sunday which my first full day in my apartment was June 1st, 1986 on a Monday. It was only some time after that in August 4th, 1992 that (20) years ago I decided to become sober totally from marijuana and anyone that had to do anything with drugs. Since August 4th, 1992 it was for the next (10) years that I have isolated myself from everyone and had nothing to do with anyone because of the depserate need for my sobriety. In that time I have broken down mentally within my apartment now of (26) years. In that time my personal hygiene and my apartment cleanliness had also broken down as I still struggle with my personal hygiene as this is had been an on going problem since my incarcerations in their psychiatric mental institutions. Yet, my problem with my house hold chores and my psychiatric medications had developed a major concern that I was showing how I was being incapable of totally being independent within my apartment now of (26) years of my residency. Within that time to clean my apartment it was usually only once per month as I have counted throwing away (30) bages of trash from my apartment cleaning my apartment once per month. Then I had a problem with my psychiatric medications when I did not discard the unused bottle of medications as I have collected those bottles of medications within a brown grocery store bag and every so often I would bring to North Central Human Services an entire bag filled with partially contained pill bottles that could have amounted to more than (100) bottles of medications that was not completely used. Then Norrth Central Human Services decided that I needed a Home Nurse to come into my life to help me with my medical needs. I had explained that I refused to allow my Home Nurse into my apartment because I was still in that transition having refused to have anything with anyone else because of my sobriety problem dealing with my past abuse of marijuana. So, my Home Nurse met with me with my DMH worker from Fitchburg, MA named Kevin Bradley. The three of us met at Crustal House Clubhouse for the mentally ill as I had explained that I refused to have this Home Nurse to come into my apartment. Yet, after a few months I allowed my Home Nurse into my apartment. I told my Home Nurse in that time when I clean my apartment it had taken me all day once per month to give my apartment a chance to be cleaned. I disscussed with my Home Nurse as she had seen the obvious conditions of my apartment that I told my Home Nurse that when I clean my apartment once per month I was throwing away (30) bags of garbage out of my house. My Home Nurse contacted my DMH worker from Fitchburg, MA about the horrid conditions of my Section 8 housing unit at the Heywood Place apartments in Gardner, MA. Then, my DMH worker named Keevin Bradley had me to be associated with a Home Health Aid that would assist me into keeping my apartment clean. This had also included my personal hygiene which my problems with my personal Hygiegn had also been known about myself. I could find no way to understand how I would ever want to accept someone coming into my apartment as my fears had now been becoming overwhelming. Having met with a Home Health Aid at Crystal Housse Clubhouse it seemed easier for me to allow that Home Health Aid to come into my apartment as I saw there was reasoning that I could use a clean apartment for once in my life. Yet, that condition had been met because my first Home Health Aid had been a woman as I had serious problems allowing any male - men or anyone that was not a female into my apartment as I have already had problems allowing my Home Nurse - a female and my Home Health Aid - a woman to be anywhere near my apartment. Yet, even though within these many years of my Home Nurse and my Home Health Aid I still had problems with these people violating some conditions of my life when contradictions have violated my apartment and the problems that began to esculate itself within those short periods of time. Yet, recently I had aquired a Home Health Aid named (Tina) who had replaced a woman named (Dianna). Within these years of having (Tina) it was (Tina) that had done great work in my apartment (three) days per week. Then in time (Tina) had reduced her time with me in my apartment to (two) days per week instead of (three) as (Tina) had cut her total working time from (five) days per week to (two) days per week to associate her time as personal time instead of working time. Within that time (Tina) decided she was going to work with her clients only on (monday) and wednesday) per week. In that time because of my disabilities being hearing impaired and taking my psychiatric medications since (1977). The sedating effects of my medications have been an on going event with my psychiatrist trying to understand what medications and doses would better provide for me to live independently in my apartment of (26) years. Yet, having problems with my Home Health Aid (Tina) even though (Tina) attends training she developed an attitude that if her obligations are not met then my apartment suffers the consequences of her actions to refuse to help me with the chores of my apartment as she has claimed many times that (Tina) could not get ahold of me Buzzing my Buzzer to the apartment or trying to call me on the telephone because in the taking of my psychiatric medications there are the side effects that puts me to sleep and with my hearing impairment wearing in both ears hearing aids when many times my hearing aids have been breaking down. That I needed to go to Fitchburg, MA to have my hearing aids repaired. That this year I had purchased hearing devices at the cost of ($30.00) each replacing my hearing aids paid for by my medical insurance MASSHEALTH of Massachusetts. Which cost MassHealth about $1,200.00 per hearing aid. Yet, these $30.00 hearing devices has to be charged as they are rechargeble. Yet, there is no guarantee that these hearing devices will remain in my ear as I can only sleep with (one) hearing device at a time since I sleep on my left side and the hearing aids squeels and hurts my ear. Yet, my Home Health Aid (Tina) had upon endless conversations over the telephone refused to come back to my apartment having claimed she was already there as I did not answer the telephone and I did not answer the Buzzer system of my apartment building. For all the years that (Tina) had refused to come back to my apartment as (Tina) had been trained by her own Agency that mental health clients taking psychiatric medications has their own side effects to those medications and knowing fully well during the training (Tina) has with her Agency there is something about wearing hearing aids that is called: Being Deaf. (Tina) refuses to recognise both the problems that I have with my psychiatric medications and my hearing problems knowing having told (Tina) that I needed to purchase (four) hearing devices at the cost of $30.00 each. Since my MassHealth hearing aids at the cost of $1,200.00 was giving me so many problems having been in need of repair when traveling from Gardner, MA to Fitchburg, MA with MassHealth Shuttle that my transportation is very limited and not personal. That having a hearing problem and having been taking psychiatric medications (Tina) that had been in training with her Agency will refuse to come back to my apartment that my apartment which had been known to suffer in the past now still suffers because (Tina) had chosen what days she will work taking for herself the personal time of the week only working with her clients (two) days per week instead of working (five) days per week. And when (Tina) had been known to me for these number of years refusing to come back to my house having made telephone calls to her upon her Cell Phone. Then when she does participate in my apartment I have signed her paper work that (Tina) had participated in my apartment with my household chores even when signing her paper work to be sent to her Agency with my signature whether or not (Tina) had actuallyy been in my apartment. When (Tina) refused to work in my apartment I have signed her paper work that she had been working in my apartment and even though Tina does an excellent job helping me with my household chores (Tina) upon many requests have refused to come back into my apartment having missed (Tina) because of the sedation effects of my psychiatric medications and the fact that I am hearing impaired wearing two hearing aids that is not always functionable. Recently a long time client needed to change her full time caregiver. After interviewing several companies,we elected to retain Synergy HomeCare. The company has been professional, caring and dependable. Synergy has made recommendations and improvments in the home to reduce safety concerns and they have taken the time to find out what makes my client happy. They provide and participate with her in daily activities, including exercise, trips to the library or pet store, and walks on the pier all of what she enjoys. I would recommend Synergy HomeCare to persons who are looking to retain caregivers. They are given national background checks and are bonded against theft. I want to begin by saying a great big thank you to John and Joel for all their continued support and dedication to me and my family! Over the past two years my grandparents living situation has significantly deteriorated and they are unable to take care of themselves. My grandmother is physically ill and is in bed the majority of the time and my grandfather has Alzheimer's which is getting worse every day. I had tried many homecare companies, but dealing with the inexperienced caregivers and the office staff was at times unbearable. I was beginning to think I was running out of options, and my life was going to consist of me driving back and forth to my grandparent's house at a minimum of 3 times a day while working and caring for my own family. The office staff was delightful to speak with and very helpful in giving me all the information I needed to get started. The very next day John and Joel came right to my grandparent's home and met the family. We went from having a caregiver come in just a few hours a day to now having a live in. Although it was a necessity - the adjustment of having someone living in their home was very hard for my grandparents. I found myself in a bind - moving and needing help getting in and out of bed. I contacted Synergy Homecare in Woodbury, met with them on a Thursday and they were there for me on Friday night at my new residence. The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. They were also very dependable. I will call them again the next time I need help and highly recommend them. Oh, and one of the best features was they didn't require a two hour minimum like most do.

Lori stayed until a relief person arrived and everything was under control. lori takes excellent care of both the family and her caregivers. Lori and her staff have been excellent. Debbie and Crystal, our day and night personal care assistants are professional, bright and very competent. Debbie, along with Lori, literally saved our Mother's life the first night on the job. Since then she has been an indispensable part of the team. Both Debbie and Crystal are sharp, caring and gentle with our 90 year old mother and 86 year old Davd while managing the many different personalities in our large family. The staff at Synergy are highly respectful of our needs and many requests. They are always available by cell and have been most accommodating. As a registered professional nurse with a Master's degree, I am more than satisfied with the delivery of care to my mother. I feel the staff are very open to working with the nurse case manager from hospice, making my parents bedroom a peaceful and supportive end of life home for my mother. Caring for one's parents at a distance is always a major effort. Philippe Faurie and Synergy have focused their care on my parents and it has made the distance seem shorter. Philippe spends a great deal of time finding the optimal match between his clients and his care-givers; the results are evident in the satisfaction of the clients, i.e. my parents. Philippe is also an excellent communicator, both by phone and email, and as we have found out, in person. It is also evident that his care givers are in constant contact with him whenever something is out of the normal. In our case, he also makes the effort to discuss client circumstances with the assisted living management where my parents are located. We are very pleased with Synergy's services.

I checked in with him every day to let him know that he was in my thoughts and, although he indicated he was anxious for me to come home, he never complained about his care. Of course it helped that these two people had a couple of months to get used to him and he to them, but 12 hours in our home with the added responsibility of meal preparation and getting Jimmie back to bed in addition to getting him up in the morning can make the job a little more difficult. This letter is a letter of recommendation for Synergy Home Care. My mother fell on Mother's Day and broke her wrist and hip. She was hospitalized for two weeks before coming home. I did not know who was going to be able to care for her since I work full time. I was introduced to Saili who has been incredible from a neighbor. I called her on a Friday and she was out to my mom's house on Saturday to make sure everything was safe for her to come home to. She spent an hour with me going over all the paper work, very professional and thorough. My mother came home on Sunday and Monday morning I had a care giver at her door. Febee has been punctual and caring everyday she is there and continues to be. She not only takes good care of my mom which gives me peace of mind, but she cleans and does her laundry as well. Saili calls me weekly to check on the caregiver to see if we need anything more. I do not know what I would have done without them. They really have helped me in a terrible time and I so appreciate what they have to offer. I highly recommend them to any of my friends and I would use them again if this situation ever arises again.

The staff was thorough and attentive to all issues, caregivers were sensitive to my mother's needs and willing to adapt when necessary. I was particularly happy with how quickly the scheduling staff responded to the one "mismatch' we had. She arranged for an alternate in less than 12 hours.

When my mother had a sudden health emergency, her Synergy aide, Jackie flat out refused to leave her side until she was safely moved to a higher level of medical care. Although scheduled with mom for only an hour that morning she wanted to stay with her all day. One morning she arrived as scheduled to find my Mom's apartment locked and immediately sought out security, and didn't stop until it was confirmed that Mom had been taken to the hospital. She was able to provide a lot of peace of mind.On the business side, Vasilis has also been extremely helpful and supportive, always going the extra mile to find the right solution. In the future, if I were to need the kind of services that Synergy provides, I wouldn't hesitate to rely on them again. Homecare seems to be not just a business for them, but a calling. We encountered a very difficult case with a man who was very lonely and could not take care of himself well, but did NOT want to move out of his apartment. Although he was very lonely, this man was very particular about who he let in to his apartment to be with him. After contacting Synergy and meeting with Ruth, I felt that she was going to take the necessary time to meet this man's needs both physically and emotionally. My feelings were confirmed when Ruth met with this man, myself, and his POA at his apartment to tell him about what she could do to help him stay in his home. She spent time with him as a person rather than as a possible account or client. I am happy to report that this man died peacefully in his apartment as he had wished to and it would not have been possible without the time, compassion, and care that Synergy brought to the situation.

Synergy Home Care is a service that out shines any home care provider in its field. I had the pleasure of using their service from June thru September and I cannot say enough remarkable things about their assistance. My Dad is deaf, legally blind, which is a challenge in its self, and Synergy Home Care raised above all the challenges of his health/daily needs and care. When the 'decision moment' arrived, I am so thankful that Paul and the team at Synergy were available. Not knowing exactly what my options were, Paul provided a clear, honest and supportive assessment of my Mother's needs. The discussion was caring and not focused on a business transaction but rather on the immediate needs of the patient. Paul recommended a Caregiver, Karen, and her title perfectly described her - a giver of care. Karen provided my mother superior physical and emotional care during the last weeks of her life. While we only live a few miles away, it would have been impossible to provide the level of support necessary to ensure that her remaining time was spent comfortably and with dignity. Karen embodied all of the necessary qualities I was looking for. She was professional, efficient, kind and showed a genuine concern not only for all aspects of my mother's care, but actually for my mother as a person. Additionally, she became part of our family. She was kind and compassionate to my wife and children during this time of sadness. While I personally observed the Synergy teams in action, my impressions were confirmed when the Hospice nurse (also amazing) commented that they were not personally familiar with Paul, but it was clear that my Mom was receiving excellent care and we should not change a thing. So when that 'decision moment' comes I am glad that Synergy and Paul were there to help.

Synergy has been a real "life-line" for my mother and therefore my whole family. The office staff goes through great pains to match caregivers and clients. The transparency we get from the online care plan and access to the care notes make my sister who lives in Las Vegas feel part of the care as well! I am a grateful client. Barbara & Nancy Bour and their assigned caregiver Elizabeth helped me care for my mom when I had not options and no clue how to. My mother was diagnosed with Dementia and Alzheimer in April 2010. This diagnosis was on top of her unchecked & mismanaged Diabetes and High Blood Pressure. The staff takes the time to actually get to know each client, and does anything and everything to make sure the client's and families are happy with the service being provided. I can honestly say, Synergy has helped me realize what helping people is all about, and it's made me a stronger person and caregiver! I honestly LOVE MY JOB!!!

Our caregiver is really good and does her work when she comes. She doesn't waste any time. I am able to go to the grocery store and to my own doctor visits when she is here with my husband. She comes does a four hour shift. i am able to get things done while she is here as well. She gives my husband a bath and cleans up after they are done with his bath. She also prepares meals for my husband and makes sure that he eats.
