We were one of the first clients to utilize the services of Synergy HomeCare. Prior to meeting with Kim, my husband and I were reluctant because we knew Synergy was a new home care business. Our hesitation was soon over after meeting with Kim to make an initial assessment of our needs. She was very professional and utilized excellent communication skills. Kim has a gifted ability to listen to the client’s needs and is quick to respond to questions. She also has the ability to match the client with a quality caregiver. The caregiver she provided us with was very professional and a great fit for our family’s needs. While utilizing Synergy HomeCare services I found Kim and the staff she provided to be caring, reliable, and have a very positive attitude. Deciding to utilize home health care services for your loved one is a difficult decision, but Kim put our mind at ease. There are situations we can control and others we cannot. I had one of these situations and Synergy was there to help. My Dad, whom I love and care about, was struggling from disease and age. A competent person was found with Synergy. They helped me through the challenging times by providing health needs and communications. I found out that sometimes I have to rely on others to act in my best interest. I take comfort in knowing that Dad has caring, supportive and positive people around him.

I needed someone to help take care of my father while recuperating from physical problems and Synergy was recommended by our Home Health Agency. Synergy came over and we set up a schedule to help overnights for a while and now it is for a few hours in the morning and evening to make sure he is getting his meds and meals. They all have been so helpful and great. Always on time, friendly and asking what they can do to help. They even took Dad to the hospital for me when I was sick and couldn’t do it.

Mary and Jean shared some time with me when I was dismissed from Nursing and Rehab. I could not make any comparison between them, because they were equally efficient and best of all sociable and fun loving ladies. Social diversion was what I needed most of all. I highly recommend both of the lovely ladies.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for going the “extra mile” for my Mama in Cypress. It is very hard to accept the fact that you are losing a parent—especially if your mother is still with you, in flesh, not aware or responsible for her own actions.  The tables are somehow reversed—you are now the parent and she is the child.  That feeling is almost too much to bear.  The responsibility is awesome. Somehow God helped me find you and your company.  You found caregivers:  Matilda (my Angel from Texas), Casey (kind and ever so patient with Mama), and finally Tamisha (great with filling in when needed).  But the absolutely unbelievable one was you, Chad.  When Matilda got sick, you stepped in to help my Mama. You did not send just anyone into my Mama’s home.  YOU went every single day—making sure Mama had her medications and cooking a meal for her.  YOU visited with Mama and got to know her and treated her with dignity and respect.  It takes a special person to “fill in” when he’s the owner of a business.  But you did—and you “done good”!  You waited until you found the RIGHT person to care for Mama. I will always remember and appreciate what you have done.  Once again thank you.

I am writing this letter to the entire staff of Synergy HomeCare to express my profound thanks to them for helping me set up home health care for my mother. My Mom just recently turned 85 years old and over the course of the last few years has noticeably needed to have some extra care and help with various household and personal duties. While her health is relatively good there are many things that she no longer can accomplish by herself. This is where Synergy has come in to assist with several of these issues. I first contacted Synergy from a recommendation of a friend that works in the home healthcare field. I then spoke with Marti and she in turn had Amy contact me and we worked out the details about meeting my Mom and assessing her and what type of care that was needed for her. Synergy’s staff also then dealt with the details of contacting my mother’s Long Term insurance provider and tying up any loose ends so that the actual care could begin. This was a huge help to me as this kind of procedure can be a very trying experience. After everything was arranged, Synergy brought Kelly, a caregiver to meet my mom. She has since been a very welcome presence in my mother’s life helping with various household activities and also a friendly presence in my mom’s house and someone with whom to talk with and occupy some of the many hours in which my mom is alone. I believe that this type of care and by people, such as Kim, Marti, Amy and the employees at Synergy are some of the reasons that my mom can stay in her home and not have to worry about having to leave it for an assisted or nursing home facility. In closing, I’d like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to all the people at Synergy HomeCare for their valued help to me and my mother, and can honestly say that they have all been a welcome addition to our family for this situation and its future events.

I wanted to tell you how much Mom enjoys visits and dominoes with Beth and her dog. She seems to improve and be much more coherent with more interaction. You certainly chose the right person; Beth is an awesome "fit" for Mom. She has happiness in her voice when she tells me Beth is stopping by to play some dominoes and hopes she brings her cute dog with her. I am reading the book "the 36 hour day" and it is helping me to understand Mom's frustration with her changing world. When she is around people who are calm and patient, Mom responds very well. We were there at Christmas for over a week and spent innumerable hours with her. She has improved immensely since October. It is so comforting to know Mom is spending time with someone who cares. Thank you Angie, for everything you and Beth do...you certainly have made a difference. "The purpose of life is to "matter", to have it make a difference that you lived at all". That is one of my favorite quotes from the author Leo Bastaglia and it is perfect for the compassion you and your employees share with people like my Mom.

I am writing to let you know how grateful I am for the two home care aides that Synergy HomeCare has provided to care for my wife Susan. Susan suffered a severe cerebral hemorrhage in June of 2002, and was hospitalized for over four months before returning home in late October. As I had explained to your staff during our initial interviews, Susan needs much more than “companion” care because she is completely paralyzed on her left side. Furthermore, although Susan is 100% wheelchair bound, she has two college degrees and is mentally almost back to her former self, so she needs to be treated with the utmost of dignity and respect. You found us a primary aide, Susan R. who was perfect for the job. Susan R. had worked for two years with a stroke victim whose deficits were almost identical to my wife’s deficits. From the first day, I found that instead of me training Susan R; Susan R. has been training me. Susan R’s skills and personality are a perfect match for what my wife Susan needs as a caregiver. Your desire to precisely serve my needs, combined with your interviewing skills that made it possible, has made me a TOTALLY satisfied customer! My wife Susan has three therapists who come to our home daily. They have all told me that Susan R. is “one in a million". Please show this letter to other potential customers. You met our needs those first few weeks by sending truly exceptional caregivers to be with him, round the clock, when he was in the hospital at UAB, then the inpatient at Lakeshore Rehab Hospital, and then at our home. Again and again, we were impressed by the kindness and professionalism of every caregiver you sent. And your desire personally to introduce every new caregiver to my dad when he was in the most fragile state was really touching. In addition, you responded graciously - in fact, heroically! -- to our constantly changing needs. One morning we would think my dad would be leaving the hospital, and then three hours later the plan would change - and you would adjust to the new arrangement so calmly and positively. One other thing especially appreciate is your willingness to send the very best caregivers for my dad, although you knew he was, for fiscal reasons, unlikely to be a long-term client. You've continued to meet his sporadic needs for home health care workers by sending really the nicest, most committed people. Interestingly, several of the caregivers have told me, although they've worked for a variety of health care companies over the years, they've been happiest working with Synergy. The reasons several have given are the you and Laura are both committed and personally involved - and that all the other Synergy caregivers they occasionally meet and interact with are hardworking, kind and committed. Being in the midst of people motivated to do their best must be motivating to everyone. Well, thanks for everything. we'll continue to call you intermittently when we need help for my Dad, and we'll feel good knowing the kind of people you'll send.

I was so pleased with our very first sitter, Ilyasa C. At the moment, I cannot recall the second sitter's name, but she, too, we a delight to work with, I liked how smooth and efficient you were when schedules or needs changed. You make it very easy to partner with you in taking care of James, especially when I was to involved in taking care of my mother, Naomi. In my opinion, your caregivers when over and beyond the call of duty. They became like an extension of our family during a time when we had only two family members in the area and desperately needed help. I am very pleased that the VA chose you as a provider. I want not only to acknowledge your exceptional, high quality service, but also to volunteer to be a reference should you ever needs one. Thank our for your dedication and quality of service.

It was a pleasure to meet you while I was in Sun City, Arizona. I just want you to know how much we all like our Synergy HomeCare caregiver Billie. She is wonderful! She is EXACTLY what my Mom needs and they seem to be getting along real well. While I was there, on her second day, Billie had bought them groceries, started their meal, cleaned up the dishes etc, washed my Mom's hair and was putting it in rollers before I left at 9:00. Unbelievable!!!! She knows what to do and is FAST. My Mom didn't know how to ask someone what she needed done. I started working for Synergy HomeCare in October of 2003, I had been working with dysfunctional children ages 9 through 18 for almost 27 months before I came to Synergy HomeCare. I had worked with elderly people all my life, and enjoyed helping the elderly. I take care of my elderly mother in my home. Synergy HomeCare has always treated me with dignity & respect which is hard to find in a lot of the companies this day and age. When my doctor told me I should consider 24 hour care for my husband, I didn’t know where to turn. Someone told me about a company called Synergy, so I called them. They came right out and were so helpful and kind. I signed up with them and have never regretted it. My husband, who just recently passed away, had wonderful care from day one. I now have Synergy for myself and truly love and rely on the girls I have for my care. We have been so fortunate to be able to stay in our home with the help of Synergy.

I want to thank Lori and all the staff at Synergy HomeCare for the amazing job they have done taking care of not only my Mother, by my Dad, and my 6 bothers and sisters. First, Lori came in at 2am to help a personal care giver the first night on duty because my mother was very ill and unstable. Lori stayed all night providing care, support and direction. She left the following morning with no sleep, but the situation under control.  Lori promised and has provided guaranteed 24 hour coverage. In July and August, the monsoon season in Tucson, Arizona has been horrendous. Lori dropped by to check up on our family when the electricity was out and when the flood waters were up to the door. What a welcome sight as Lori took off her shoes and waded through the mess. Lori stayed until a relief person arrived and everything was under control. Lori takes excellent care of both the family and her caregivers. Lori and her staff have been excellent. Debbie and Crystal, our day and night personal care assistants are professional, bright and very competent. Debbie, along with Lori, literally saved our Mother's life the first night on the job. Since then she has been an indispensable part of the team. Both Debbie and Crystal, are sharp, caring and gentle with our 90 year old mother and 86 year old Dad while managing the many different personalities in our large family. The staff at Synergy are highly respectful of our needs and many requests. They are always available by cell and have been most accommodating. As a Registered Professional Nurse with a Masters Degree, I am more than satisfied with the delivery of nursing care to my mother. I feel the staff are very open to working with the nurse case manager from Valor Hospice, making my parents' bedroom a peaceful and supportive end of life home for my mother. I feel very comfortable living in New York City while Synergy provides the care in Tucson. Thank you for providing such comfort to our family during this very difficult time.

Synergy HomeCare appeared as the silver lining in an approaching storm cloud when a crisis incident pressed us into an immediate need for assistance with home care for our father. Synergy Home Care is a service that out shines any home care provider in its field. I had the pleasure of using their service from June thru September and I cannot say enough remarkable things about their assistance. My Dad is deaf, legally blind, which is a challenge in its self, and Synergy Home Care raised above all the challenges of his health/daily needs and care. Not only did they care for my father as if he was family, they showed compassion, love and tenderness when it was needed, and he knew this with his disabilities that they cared about him, and he was safe in their presence. I am in Michigan, but this is a health care service that goes beyond compassion and caring for an individual (your family member) so that you can be in another state and know that your loved one is completely taken care of with no worries. How can I express my gratitude for the help they gave our family. We will be forever thankful for them. They are “ANGELS” and God sent them. “Synergy should be the role model for the nation in elder care”. They care!

I could not have made it through the care giving process for my mother without the assistance of Synergy HomeCare. They were flexible and accommodating with my schedule and gave me complete peace of mind with care with my elderly parent. My 96 year old mother-in-law was dying of congestive heart failure. We brought her home from the hospital under the hospice program. Since I am single and a full-time real estate agent, I knew that I couldn’t keep my business running without help. I immediately called Mitch and Suzanne. Within hours after my panic call to them saying I needed help, they had 24 hour care for her in place. The caregivers are close to perfect. They are competent, caring, take-charge people. A weight was lifted off my shoulders once the care giving was in place, and I could be assured my mother-in-law was in great hands.
