Just because your hair may be a little gray and your joints a little creaky, it doesn’t mean you have to give up the activities you love later in life. Elderly adults enjoying their golden years sometimes require at-home senior care services to maintain the lifestyle they enjoy, but there are some other all-natural methods to ensure greater health well into the final stages of your long and prosperous life. For example, a daily cup of green tea not only offers some powerful antioxidant protections but also promotes greater overall wellness in a variety of your bodily systems.

According to the results of a recent study conducted by scientists from Japan’s National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center, the benefits of green tea are extensive, ranging from greater vascular and heart health to a lower risk of cancer and cognitive disorders. Researchers found that individuals who drank one cup of green tea daily were 20 percent less likely to suffer a stroke than those who did not. Additionally, these tea-drinking enthusiasts also demonstrated a 32 percent lower risk of cerebral hemorrhaging and were less likely to develop other chronic ailments ranging from cancer and cardiovascular disease.
