Resources for Home Health Care
Home health care is defined as the skilled nursing care that is needed fewer than seven days each week or less than eight hours each day over a period of twenty one days. It also provides for other skilled care services such as physical and occupational therapy, durable medical equipment services such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, oxygen, and walkers, medical supplies, and other services.
Home health care providers follow strict guidelines, often dictated by organizations that manage Medicare and Medicaid, which limits the amount of care they can provide. SYNERGY HomeCare can supplement by providing the non-medical home care services that are not covered in a home health care case. These services can include:
- Personal Care
- Assistance with bathing, grooming and dressing
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation and clean up
