This month focuses on adding fiber to your diet, if you haven't already, for health benefits. Fiber has benefits including regulating your digestive system and avoiding constipation, heart health, lowering cholesterol, regulating weight, and blood glucose.


You can find fiber in fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains. Fiber supplements are another way to incorporate fiber into your diet. It is recommended to consume 32 grams of fiber per day for a healthy adult. You should also make sure you are consuming an adequate amount of water along with the fiber. 8 to 12 (8-oz) cups of water are recommended each day.
