A night of elegant dresses, dashing tuxedos, lush flowers, delectable food, and dancing to big band music act as cherished, faint memories for many elderly individuals who attended their high school senior prom. Why should smashing formal attire, upbeat tunes, and a night of good company only be enjoyed during our teenage years? Synergy HomeCare of Inland Empire believes that prom is an occasion too fun to enjoy just once!
Synergy HomeCare, which is part of Circle City Rotary, and the Corona Senior Center will host Stardust Memories Senior Prom-an elegant night of dancing, music by Marty Conley's Big Band Express, a catered sit-down dinner, and prizes-from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Crossroads Church. Tickets cost $20 and are available at the Corona Senior Center.
Synergy strives to keep seniors healthy and fulfilled through mental, social, and physical engagement. Synergy HomeCare caregivers:
*Provide Friendly and Supportive Conversation
When your senior parent needs someone to reminisce with about past life experiences, personal stories or grandchildren, their in-home caregiver will be there to provide them with the friendly act of listening.
Plan and Encourage Social Activities
Staying active and maintaining a level of independence is important to the health and happiness of your senior parent. Our personal companions are here to make the best of every moment for your family member or loved one, and that's why they help plan visits with family and friends, play dates for kids, trips to the zoo, shopping sprees, crafts and scrapbooking, or even help scheduling vacations.
Encourage Light Exercise
Staying active and mobile is important to your senior parent's health and independence. Our caregivers can accompany your family member on walks and encourage regular exercise.
Encourage Active Thinking
Our caregivers can help structure pastimes, hobbies and games to keep your senior parent interactive, engaged and stimulated.
Synergy knows that mental and physical engagement results in happiness and life longevity, so enjoy a night of both and come with your significant other, group of friends, or stag in style and enjoy Stardust Memories!
Stardust Memories prom sponsors include Citrus Valley Medical Associates, Lifetouch, Miguel's Mexican Restaurant, Mission Ambulance, Thomas Miller Mortuary & Crematory, Valencia Terrace, and Vista Cove at Corona. We thank you for your support!
