Synergy HomeCare, a trusted licensed non-medical home care, is seeking compassionate and experienced caregiver/Home Care Aide (HCA)  for immediate assignments.

Candidates must be a HCA or have at least 2 years experience in providing quality companionship, assisting with daily living activities, running errands, working with clients of all ages, and complete the HCA process.

Candidates must also enjoy using their personal care skills in a nurturing environment. SYNERGY HomeCare of Long Beach provides in-home non-medical care to those whose lives are impacted by age or illness. 

Depending upon the client, your day may be spent playing a lively game of Monopoly, navigating doctor appointments, ensuring medication is taken on time or preparing simple meals or even some light housework. Being an in-home caregiver is a rewarding,  "whatever it takes" career, where you are consistently compassionate, alert, able to prioritize, adaptable, dependable and resourceful, with an end goal of happy, healthy clients. Each new client has his or her particular home care needs with matching home care plans that you must adapt to and understand to provide the level of home care that you'd want your loved family member to receive.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Light housekeeping: Help with tidying up and laundry
  • Meals & groceries: Help with meal planning, meal prep, cooking and feeding
  • Transportation: Take clients in your car (or theirs) to appointments and errands
  • Medication reminders: Remind clients when to take their medication
  • Personal care: Help with bathing or showering, dressing, and toileting
  • Communication: Build professional rapport with clients and family members, reporting to the family regarding doctor appointments' communications

To become a Caregiver at SYNERGY HomeCare of Long Beach, you must:

  • Be a registered Home Care Aide (HCA) Or sucessfully complete the registration process before being hired
  • Have or acquire CPR/First Aid certification
  • Provide evidence of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) test
  • Pass a national background check
  • Have a valid driver's license, proof of car insurance/registration and a reliable vehicle
