Yesterday I attended the memorial service for one of our clients. I go to a lot of these. It is always an emotional experience, and not always easy. I go to honor the client and support the families. I feel I need to be there. And there is one part of the service that I always love (even though it usually makes me cry): the eulogy. Usually the client we take care of is a very different person than is described in the eulogy. I look forward to hearing about all their accomplishments and how amazing they were. Often there is much I had never heard about them, they have lived such a rich and full life before we became a part of it. And I love hearing the stories and the jokes about his/her personality.
So I'll keep going, even though they make me cry.
