This is a continuation of my blog that started on 12/30/12 - If you are visiting or have visited a parent in the last couple of weeks, here are some things to watch out for in deciding if you need to call for help.
2. Are you unsure they are taking their medication every day or as prescribed? Being forgetful is common in elderly people. Medication reminders is one of the first requests we get. If a person does not take their medication correctly, not only does their physical condition worsen, they can seem confused and "out of it". This can be mistaken for dementia when it's just a failure to take medication correctly.
