Colorado Springs Memory Care Specialists

...It’s Our People That Make The Difference

As consumers we do our homework on important and large purchases such as your home and vehicles. There are certain items we price shop for and other brands we are loyal customers to, no matter what. Nobody is ever prepared to shop for home care and your need for home care is typically urgent and unexpected. The majority of us have never shopped for home care before. What questions should you ask? Should price be a factor? What is the important factor when choosing a home care provider?

At SYNERGY HomeCare in Colorado Springs, Colorado 100% of our caregivers are certified and compassionate. However, caring for a client who lives with dementia or Alzheimer’s requires additional training, experience and the right person. So you have the peace of mind knowing that your loved one is in safe hands, capable hands with a well educated memory care specialist.

The #1 reason you should choose a health care provider is because of their PEOPLE!

Meet Leilani Anderson,

Leilani is one of the exceptional members of our SYNERGY C.A.R.E. Team, who really puts the care in caregiving.  Born and raised as a proud Texan, Leilani attended college in Dallas before moving to Colorado and following her heart into the caregiving world.  She completed her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training in 2011 and has enjoyed providing compassionate care as a licensed CNA ever since!  Leilani worked for Goodwill Rehabilitation, assisting the developmentally disabled, before joining the SYNERGY HomeCare team in 2012.

Leilani is quick to offer her assistance to anyone in need, but has repeatedly demonstrated a special skill in caring for individuals experiencing memory loss and suffering from the various forms of dementia.  Whether it’s in a memory care facility, an assisted living facility, or a private home, Leilani has proven her ability to adapt to any environment and make those individuals suffering from this frightening memory loss feel comfortable and safe.  She has never failed to impress with her outstanding leadership skills and confidence even in some of the most challenging situations.

Leilani’s talent and passion are always on display when she is caring for someone, but one case really highlighted her special gift.  When approached about a potential new client who was suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease and who also lived by himself in a very remote area of Colorado, Leilani excitedly accepted without hesitation.  This client was very physically fit and loved to go on walks… long walks.  Leilani quickly realized that this rural, remote area did not have any cell phone service and also realized that this client wanted to walk further and further everyday… in various different directions.  While she never knew where, or how far, her next visit with this client might take her, she knew that she was providing this individual the ability to live his life in a positive manner doing the things he cared about most.  And, that’s all that mattered.  When it comes to memory loss, you never know where the journey may lead.  But, Leilani and the SYNERGY C.A.R.E. Team can be there to provide a safe, comforting hand along the way.
