  • The AMITA Health/Alexian Brothers Senior & Community Resource Center located in Elk Grove Village, offers free consultations to seniors on a variety of topics including; housing options, Medicare, public benefit eligibility, and caregiving options.

  • The St. Charles Police Department has a specially trained crime prevention officer, certified as an Elderly Services Officer as designated by the Illinois Attorney General’s office. This officer specifically assists senior citizens, with issues ranging from senior crime prevention help to reporting a crime against a senior. For further assistance, call 630-443-3847. 

Community Awareness

SYNERGY HomeCare attended the AMITA Health Alexian Brothers vendor open house on Tuesday June 30th. Vendors representing business in Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, Palatine, Dundee, Elk Grove Village, St. Charles and Schaumburg are invited to attend.

Health & Wellness Committee

The Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce Health & Wellness Committee is a network of health and fitness professionals dedicated to holistic and integrative approaches to physical, mental and emotional health. The committee works to heighten awareness about prevention and wellness through community interaction and educational events, and it strives to help people in the Arlington Heights community “Add life to their years and years to their life!” For more information about the Health & Wellness Committee, contact the AHCC at 847-253-1703.

Arlington Heights Chamber Professional Women’s Connection 

Members meet monthly on the third Wednesday of the month to network and promote their businesses. Meetings rotate between the "Wednesday Wake-Up" at 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM, "3rd Wednesday Lunch" at 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM and "Ladies Night" at 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM. Each month will feature a speaker and discussions on topics that will help members grow their businesses and develop as professionals. The PWC is open to all AHCC members and non-members. Men are welcome to attend 3rd Wednesday Lunches, however, Wednesday Wake-Ups and Ladies Nights are exclusively for women. For more information, contact the AHCC at 847-253-1703.

Paul and Shelley Fisher
Paul and Shelley Fisher

Paul earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from James
Madison University and his Master’s degree from New Hampshire College. His
work history is anchored in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry, excelling
in various roles of sales and marketing for companies such as Nestle,
Frito-Lay, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson. Most recently, Paul served as
Vice President of Business Development for a Chicago-based business of
forty wellness centers, treating over fifty thousand patients annually.

Shelley brings comprehensive experience of the social service community to
the business as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has worked closely,
throughout her 20-year career, with area social service agencies,
hospitals, schools, and senior care facilities.

Most importantly, Paul and Shelley are the parents to two busy teen-agers
and the fortunate adult children to their parents. Both are actively
involved in the community and couldn’t imagine raising their children
anywhere but the Chicagoland area.
