Rochester seniors and disabled citizens have a number of local transportation options designed to assist with getting around the local area. Services include:

Older Person's Commission (OPC). Rochester's OPC is a wonderful local resource. The OPC owns and operates a minibus service for people over the age of 60 and for those under 60 who are disabled and have a doctor's statement verifying their qualification. The bus operates throughout Rochester, Rochester Hills, Oakland Township, Oakland University and the Troy Beaumont Medical Complex.
Synergy Home Care-Rochester. Synergy Home Care of Rochester, located in downtown Rochester, Michigan, offers personalized transportation and escort services. Synergy staff members are professionally trained to offer safe wheelchair/vehicle transfers, transportation and shopping assistance and grocery unpacking/put away services. Synergy services can be arranged by calling (248) 608.3970 or by visiting Synergy HomeCare offices at 410 West University Drive, Rochester, Michigan 48307.
Smart Bus. Oakland County's Smart Bus services provide some curb-to-curb advanced reservation services in addition to their standard planned routes. Curb-to-curb services are limited and are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
For reservations, call 1.866.962.5515 on Mondays through Fridays from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 48 hours in advance of requested departure time. For medical trips, passengers may make reservations up to six days in advance.
A $2.00 donation is requested for seniors and $3.00 for those under 60 years of age.
