Free Cats for Seniors.  Oakland County's C.A.T.S. Petfinder.  A national site, Petfinder ..., offers information on pet adoption and is easy to use.  Enter your zip code under "Location" on the home page and a list of pets available for adoption closest to you appears.  For information on places to adopt pets, see "Shelters & Rescues" and use your zip code again.  A comprehensive list of animal welfare ahencies is displayed.  The same site includes an thoughtful article about seniors and pets, and touches on some of the issues seniors encounter when owning a pet.  The author offers some solutions that were implemented in her area.  Hopefully, others have found this article of interest and are using some of the best ideas.  Follow the link, ... to this worthwhile article.
