According to Livestrong.com, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) "is a procedure in which you basically try to restart someone's breathing or heart manually compressing the person's chest and pushing air into the lungs by breathing into the person's mouth. The breathing portion of the procedure is known as mouth-to-mouth resuscitation."
The American Heart Association offers adult, child, and infant CPR classes in the training room of Fire Station N.1 in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Classes will offer instruction on one-person CPR and management of complete airway obstruction.
Those who complete the course satisfactorily will receive an American Heart Association Participation card (not to be confused with a certification card).
