SYNERGY HomeCare of Rochester understands the risks of uncoordinated balance and would like to offer some helpful tips on safeguarding your stability so it doesn’t worsen. Exercising in your thirties and forties is essential to avert the big risk of aging as certain exercises can strengthen your stability to avoid falls. The Wall Street Journal suggests exercising in bouts of five to ten minutes each day so your body can be in tip top shape. Walking on different surfaces can help coordinate your balance with one foot walking on pavement while the other is on the grass, walk up and down the stairs while not trying to rely on the handrails, as another helpful exercise would be to stand on pillows if you’re able and swinging one leg out back and forth then vice versa. Becoming steadier on your feet can help avoid your risks of falls and breaks and we here at SYNERGY HomeCare of Rochester would like to invite you to do these exercises to be safe at home and on the go.
