Rigorous Hiring Standards

SYNERGY HomeCare verifies all work history, credentials, and references and performs thorough background checks on all candidates. Caregivers are fully bonded and insured before they visit their first client.

Continuous Supervision

RN Laura and Quality Manager Janel check in consistently with caregivers and clients to see first-hand how things are going, ensure clients are receiving the highest-quality care, and address additional needs or concerns. We view caregiving as a partnership between clients, their families and caregivers so we communicate regularly with everyone to maintain an open dialogue.

 24-Hour Support

Caregivers are available 24/7, year-round. And clients and their families can reach SYNERGY HomeCare staff any time, day or night.

 Extensive Education and Training

  • Caregivers go through rigorous training to become certified in CPR and First Aid. They also complete yearly training on infectious disease prevention.
  • Many caregivers on staff have also completed higher levels of training to become home health aides, personal care assistants and certified nursing assistants.
  • We provide ongoing training to further expand and improve the skills they bring to their clients.   
  • We regularly assess their performance to ensure their continued excellence on the job.

 Finding the Right Match

We understand the importance of finding the right caregiver for your loved one. You want someone with the right set of skills, experience and know-how for the job. But you also want someone with the right personality—someone who is professional, affable and who will connect emotionally with your loved one.

How do we find people who can meet the unique physical and interpersonal requirements of the job?

We get to know our clients personally and work closely with their families and loved ones to understand their personality as well as their essential care needs and wishes. By working together in this way we are able to make caregiver recommendations and develop the best care plan.

For example, if your loved one has Alzheimer’s, we will recommend caregivers with deep experience in that area. You and your loved one can also interview caregivers in person to determine who would be best for the job.

Once you have selected a caregiver, SYNERGY HomeCare staff will communicate regularly with you to keep you informed of your loved one’s condition. We are always available to discuss your care plan and make adjustments.
