SYNERGY HomeCare hosted an open house and ribbon cutting of the first Oklahoma office with the Oklahoma City and Edmond Chambers of Commerce April 5. CEO Weama Kassem noted special tribute to her professors from the master’s in business program at Oklahoma City University. SYNERGY offers specialized services for cancer recovery, Alzheimer’s care, Parkinson’s care, orthopedic and other surgery recovery and also care for disabled children and new moms. Services also include help during hospital stays and assisted-living transitions and contracts are not required. The company offers care 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can be billed hourly or daily to reflect a client’s individual needs.
When Weama Kassem invited some of her favorite professors from the Oklahoma City University business school to the open house of her new business -- SYNERGY HomeCare -- they came.
Likely, they could not resist seeing how their former student was applying her passion, focus and skills to the venture that is not only proving to be a business success but is also serving the community that she loves.
Weama earned her master’s degree in business administration from OCU.
In remarks at her recent celebration, she acknowledged her finance, statistics and research professors – four in attendance.
“These Oklahoma City University professors gave me all their knowledge and time. I’m going to show people what I can do just to show people what I learned from you,” she said.
Dr. Ronnie Shaw said Weama was a dedicated student. “She wanted to learn and is success-motivated and is also a caring person.”
Professor James Ma, also on the finance department, spoke of her “determination. It’s that simple.” And, he said her vision for the company’s success will go a long way.
Professor Ali Alli teaches Economics and Research, statistics, production management and decision-making.
“She’s a smart lady. Very social. She applies herself.” Because she was schooled at OCU, she was prepared for her business.
Early signs of this extraordinary success can be seen in the corporate setting of SYNERGY HomeCare nationwide. Regional Franchise Developer Heather Ballard boasted of the Edmond location’s success, the most successful at this point in its growth od any franchise yet.
With SYNERGY’s mission, can you doubt the belief her teachers have in the owner – summed up in “C.A.R.E.,” which stands for “Coordinated and Responsive Engagement.”
The bottom line is what makes us successful truly is the caring approach we can extend to your, the client, and that WILL make us successful.
