I am Kim Kreber, owner of SYNERGY HomeCare of Siouxland. Our Dakota Dunes, SD office serves the metro Sioux City, IA area, which covers the junction of Iowa, Nebraska & South Dakota. Residents of LeMars, South Sioux City, Dakota Dunes, and Vermillion as well as the surrounding rural communities can receive the benefits that SYNERGY HomeCare of Siouxland has to offer.
I grew up in rural Siouxland and I opened SYNERGY HomeCare in 2006 in response to the care needs of my own family. I am a Certified Senior Advisor and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. My husband, John, is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources. Our experience and training allows us to better serve you and your family.
My mother was diagnosed at 54 years old with ALS, (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 1998. As her disease progressed my family knew exactly where to turn for her skilled nursing needs. My sisters, Amy White and Dee Dee Malchow were both registered nurses with years of experience in hospital, clinic and home care settings. My family was fortunate, our father was strong and healthy and able to care for most of her non-medical needs initially. My siblings and I were able to assist with Mom’s care, but we all had families and jobs that we needed to attend to as well. Caring for a loved one with a long term illness, however, can become difficult for family caregivers and my family was no exception. It was the realization that our community was in need of a high quality provider of non-medical home care services that inspired me to open SYNERGY HomeCare of Siouxland in early 2006.
As our business grew I was so fortunate to be able to add my sisters, Amy and Dee Dee to my team. Amy joined me in 2008 and Dee Dee came on board in 2013.
Our educational backgrounds and professional experiences combine to form a wonderful “Synergy” and I am blessed to be able to work with both of them on a daily basis. SYNERGY HomeCare caregivers provided my family with support and respite through Mom’s illness. As often happens, our father’s health declined quickly after Mom passed in 2013. And once again, SYNERGY caregivers provided care to Dad during his battle with cancer. My parents adored their caregivers and the peace of mind they provided to us as family was invaluable. We are committed to provide that same level of service to all of our clients and their families. Our passion for quality stems from personal experience... ...because we have been there.
Amy White is a Certified Care Manager as well as a Registered Nurse. Amy has been providing expert advice and insight to our team since 2008. She has many years of experience as a nurse in Siouxland and is a valuable liaison between our clients and the local medical community.
Dee Dee Malchow is also a Registered Nurse and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has many years of home health nursing experience in the Sioux City area. Dee Dee joined our team in 2013 and her duties include caregiver recruitment and training as well as quality assurance.
Mardi Schnee has been a part of the SYNERGY HomeCare team since 2008. Mardi has years of experience in caring for dependent adults as well as supervising care staff. Mardi works closely with our clients and our caregivers to ensure the matching process is optimal and the consistency in care is maintained.
We identify and empathize with families whose loved ones need assistance with activities of daily living. The daily care of my parents was not something I would trust with just anyone. Many families like yours are experiencing similar doubts and misgivings about outside care. At SYNERGY HomeCare of Siouxland, we have one simple rule to comfort you and your family: If we would not feel comfortable sending a caregiver to care for our own family, we won't send them to care for yours.
SYNERGY HomeCare of Siouxland has worked very hard to build a reputation for quality and dependability over the past ten years. We take great pride in our ability to quickly respond and adjust to the needs of you and your family. Sympathetic caregivers and office staff are happy to help you. The wellbeing of your loved one is our highest priority. Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have. We are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
