Hello! We are Dave and Jennifer Coleman, the proud owners of SYNERGY HomeCare of Alta. We are grateful to provide a personal and impactful service in the wonderful place we call home. There is nothing like living by the beautiful Wasatch mountains in the quaint suburban area just south of Salt Lake City. We enjoy spending time outdoors with our two daughters along with our friends and family. After spending decades in the corporate world, we decided to follow our heart and make it our mission is to have a positive effect in our community and specifically those in need. We personally understand the level of love and care our clients need from our own life experiences.
I was born in Jacksonville Florida to a loving military family and lived in various locations including Florida, Georgia, Texas, Puerto Rico and Germany before my dad Mike, a Navy and Army veteran, decided to retire. Upon retirement, we decided to make Utah home, as my mom Elenoa’s family is in Utah. I played football at Weber State University, received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and after college, began a corporate career in Salt Lake City. This is where I met the love of my life, Jennifer. In 2015, we both resigned from our corporate jobs and moved to Fort Lauderdale FL. We absolutely love Florida and planned to stay long term, until a series of events made us change course. I lost two siblings in 2016, then at end of 2017, my father Mike became extremely ill. We flew to Utah and was with him when he passed December 22, 2017. My mom Elenoa was now alone and thousands of miles away from me and my family. She was not willing to move, which is understandable. We decided to move back to Utah in 2018. We came back to be close to our family and gratefully have this opportunity to help others in need.
I was born in Los Angeles California and relocated to Sandy, Utah with my family when I was very small. I have always been one to take care of others starting from a young age. I had the responsibility of making sure my younger sibling was fed and ready for school when my mother was at work and held a myriad of babysitting jobs as a child. I was enlisted as summer help when a family member was severely injured in a car accident severing her arm. I starting working in the corporate world assisting my father in his accounting office for the summer at the age of 15 and felt this is where I belonged. I continued to work for corporations for the next 20+ years and began to understand that Managing others, is too, a service role. It was through this work that I found that the ability to connect and help others was what drove me and when the corporate world could no longer support this, it was time to move on and spend precious time with my children. Raising children of my own and witnessing family members become ill or disabled has instilled in me that caring for families truly “takes a village” and I am proud to be part of that village for our community.
We are proud to have Tyler on our team. She has several years of experience in the healthcare industry including roles as a CNA and an Admission Director for multiple rehabilitation centers. She is a Utah native who loves spending time with her daughter and fishing in our local Utah waters.
